    Retired

Today was my last day at work. Twenty Eight years through several companies working on the same system. All the while dreaming of sailling away…

The boat is fueled, water tanks are full, provisions loaded, projects and prep done. Tomorrow, we sail!

  • Aloha!

This blog is for my family and friends, my ohana and anyone else who wishes to follow along the journey as I start the next chapter in life.

My name is Steve and Hula Girl is my sailboat. I’ve been sailing for the better part of the past two decades, participating in local regattas and cruising around the West coast of Florida. I’ve long dreamed of sailing to the Bahamas and eventually around the Carribean. That time is nearing soon, I’ll be retiring at the end of February to live my dream while I’m young and healthy enough to enjoy it.

Over the years I’ve come to embrace the Aloha Spirit. Or at least as I envision it. It’s about enjoying the beauty of the sea, nature, love and friendships. Hula Girl is a sailing beauty that dances on the waves.

As time goes by, I’ll fill in details about the boat and the journey ahead.
