No Name Cay

Captain’s Log – Sat 4/12/25

There was a small squall line that came through early but passed with the front leaving the morning very calm. Our new friends, Mike & Kate from sv/Wisdom, part of the Two Can Sail Tribe, picked us up in their dinghy as it was faster than ours for a day trip to No Name Cay where you can feed and swim with the pigs. I don’t know why this is so amusing, but it is and the little ones are so darn cute!

I thought we’d be good to shove off for the next island tomorrow, but we consulted with the weather service, which advised waiting for Monday. Our next leg takes us out into the Atlantic to get around a really shallow area in the bank here. It’s a passage through what is called “The Whale”, where wind, tides and currents can be a bit treacherous. Boats have sank trying to navigate this pass, so we’ll follow the conservative advice and let things settle down another day. The plan will be to depart first thing Monday morning for Guana Cay.

✌️❤️⛵️
