Captain’s Log – Sat 5/3/25

After catching up on some sleep we were ready to hit the water park today. We floated around the lazy and rapid rivers, tried the various slides including the leap of faith from the Mayan Pyramid and hung out at the grotto pool for the afternoon.

Dinner tonight was Italian Restaurant Paranza, on the far West side of the resort. We opted to take the shuttle overboard instead of walking. Much to our surprise, there is a tunnel under the entrance to the marina no more than 30 yards from Hula Girl! It’s so well concealed you would never know it if you weren’t looking for it.

The Cove is an upscale modern, chic, zen hotel on the western most side. You feel stress melt away as you see the tropical gardens and koi pond. Honestly it probably wasn’t my favorite here but it was nice and the food was good.

The shuttle took us back to the marina where we had the “Brookie” dessert at Seafire that we didn’t have room for the other night there.

I really wanted to go to the night club, Aura, but dang I’m getting old. It looked super cool, like one of the hot South Beach night clubs. A couple of years ago I would have danced the night away. Somehow this trip has me on a solar time schedule. I get up at first light and am ready for bed as soon as it’s dark. After playing all day at the water park and dinner, I was ready to chill. Wish I could have retired at 30 something. My mind says Hell yeah, my body say hell no.

✌️❤️⛵️
