Captain’s Log – Mon 4/28/25
Today marks two months since we set sail on this epic bucket list cruise around the Bahamas. We left Egg Island a little before 8:00am this morning and arrived at Rose Island at 3:00. It was a beautiful, lazy downwind sail here. We made 30 gallons of water as we left the anchorage again. So glad we installed the water maker. I can’t imagine doing this trip without it.

About 5 miles out we could see Atlantis towering over Nassau. We have reservations there this weekend, which is as soon as we could get in. Perhaps there will be a cancellation and we can get in a bit earlier. 🤞

We anchored in the lee of Rose Island behind some small cliffs. It was beautiful, sheltered from the wind and not too bad of a dinghy ride around to the reefs on the other side for snorkeling tomorrow. However just before sunset it became inexplicably rolly. Do not recommend anchoring here.
